It assumes you have a basic knowledge of UNIX commands. You will learn how to install, configure and administer Linux servers, network administration, DNS and DHCP using Linux servers, as well as how to use Linux servers on a mixed network - for example, one that is predominantly a Microsoft Network. Who Should Attend This course is intended for: • System administrators with basic UNIX / LINUX experience • Technical support personnel whose duties (or will) include support of servers and network support, though not necessarily in a Linux or UNIX environment • Technically-oriented managers and other IT professionals wanting to gain practical experience with Linux. Pre-Requisites Students must have completed the course 045 Linux and Unix Fundamentals, or have equivalent knowledge. It is expected that students are familiar with UNIX basic commands and system installation. Course Format The course is normally presented over 5 days using a combination of instructor presentation, facilitated group discussion and practical exercises. Each attendee will be provided with a set of course notes.
