2007 Construction Education Grant Program Page 1A Program of the AGC Education Foundation 2007 Construction Education Grant Program Introduction The AGC of Washington Education Foundation was founded in 1980 to develop and promote construction careers through education and training. The Grant Program is to provide funding for projects that address a demonstrated need in the construction industry encourage and attract competent people to a career in construction make an effective use of volunteers and/or matching funds and have a positive impact on construction workforce issues in Washington State. Application Guidelines Proposed projects or programs must achieve or support one of the following: 1. Promotion of academic and technical training achievement in construction. 2. Construction career awareness in grades K12. 3. Community based nonprofit organizations addressing construction industry workforce development issues and needs. 4. Promotion of education and awareness of the construction industry to 1828 year olds. General Information Deadline for Submission: February 1 2007. The AGC Education Foundation may at its discretion evaluate grants on a casebycase basis throughout the year. Submit Proposals to: AGC Education Foundation 1200 Westlake Ave. N. Suite 301 Seattle WA 98109 Announcement of Award: April 1 2007 Time Frame: Beginning July 1 2007 with completion no later than June 30 2007 or as otherwise outlined in the proposal and approved by the Foundation. Funding: The grant will be funded per a schedule provided in the award notification letter. Page 2 Maximum Award: The maximum award amount is $5000 unless requested in the proposal and approved by the AGC Education Foundation. In the event that progress toward the completion of the project is not deemed satisfactory or is not in compliance with the terms and conditions of the award the AGC Education Foundation Board may at its sole discretion terminate the award and seek redress as appropriate.
