Benjamin was very young when made his first invention he usedsome of the workers bricks to build a dam in the river but when his father heardof this he got spanked.Benjamin dropped out of school at the age of 10. He went to work with his father in his candle factory but one day Benjamin went to his brothers printing shop and became fascinated. Benjamin wanted to print his own newspaper but his brother said he was too young so Benjamin became a writer for the paper. He wrote saying under the name of Silence Dogood. His brother printed the sayings in the newspaper. Because he was blamed and beaten when his brother got angry Benjamindecided to run away from home. He sold his collection of books bought a boatticket and sailed away to Boston. Benjamin arrived there hungry and lonely. Benjamin was walking down a street when he saw this bakery and smelled fresh bread. As he walked out of the bakery with his arms full of bread he saw a pretty young girl that was giggling at him because he looked like a walkingbakery! Benjamin didnt know it at the time but that this girl would become his wife. Benjamin fell in love with the girl whose name was Debby.Page 2Benjamin and Debby had children and led a happy life together. War was starting and Benjamin was asked to go to England to sign a peaceletter. While he was in England Debby died. To hide his grief Benjamin wentback to Boston. He made even more inventions learned French Latin Italian and Spanish so well that he could read almost every language. Soon Benjamin had to wear glasses! He still wanted to go around to different countries andexplore but he was getting very weak.By Nicole
