In response to this new operating system Fujitsu has defined a schedule for supporting Fujitsu documentscanner products operating on Windows Vista. 1. Policy Fujitsu will offer Windows Vista supported TWAIN/ISIS drivers for select models by web download as an initial measure. The Fujitsu drivers are now available for select fiseries scanners at the following Fujitsu Website (see table of select fiseries scanners below):http://www.fujitsu.com/us/about/pla tforms/fcpa/home/2. Scope of the term "Windows VISTA support" Fujitsu software (excluding bundled 3rdparty software) will work functionally with Windows Vista the same way it works with Windows XP. The functionality of Fujitsu scanners will not be improved by the Vista support. The performance of Fujitsu scanners will not be improved by installing the Windows Vista supported drivers. 3. VISTA support outofthebox 1. Windows Vista compatible scanners (i.e. the bundled software / accessories to supportWindows Vista) will be made available by "running change." This changeover will be processed in Q04 CY2007 and will include changes to drivers and software manuals and outer box text. The following bundled software will become Windows Vista compatible:a. TWAIN / ISIS driver b. ScandAII Pro c. AdobeAcrobat8 (thetimingwill be separately announcedby Adobe)d. KofaxVRS(the timing will be separately announced by Kofax) e. QuickScan Demo 2. Software Options for fiSeriesa. Image Processing Software Option (SoftIPC) will support Windows Vista from April 2007. b. The ScannerControl SDK will support Windows Vista from June 2007. 3.
