Computing for EndUsers COMP202 Introduction Course DeliveryPage 1Computing for EndUsersCOMP202IntroductionThis is a single semester paper for those students who wish to gain more exposure to andexperience with professional tools and techniques for business presentations.OverviewThe course examines information technology tools and techniques forbusiness presentation and will be devoted to providing hands onexperience. The lectures will cover and demonstrate the Windows softwarewhich will be used in preparing the several assignments required during thesemester.Software examined will include Windows Corel DrawPowerPoint PhotoShop and several others.The course is organised as a series of lectures tutorials and assignmentsand web documents. Students are expected to draw from all sources.Course DeliveryLecturesWednesdays and Thursdays inat 5:00p.m.Laboratories Students will have access to PC laboratories with the Windows platform.Room CO.317 in the School of Business.TutorialTen (10) Lab tasks will be assessed and awarded 0.5% for each.Assignments The student will be given regular assignment exercises. These will besubmitted electronically (see for method). Each part of the first 2assignments is worth 5 marks. The final assignment the book isworth 15 marks.Presentation StandardsFinished product will incorporate desktop publishing tools and techniquesincluding the use of colour.Examination There will be a formal final examination of three hours duration at the endof the semester.Requirements for TermsNone.Allocation of MarksTutorials5%Assignments50%Exam45%100%P age 2Course Notices Each student should have a USB memory stick.
