Presented to the Windows Mobile development community by AirscannerCorporation http://www.airscanner.com 2005 AirscannerCorporation. Redistribution without permission is prohibited. Create a blank VS2005 C++ Console Application 1. File > New > Project 2. Select Visual C++ > Smart Device > Win32 Smart Device Project 3. Name the solution and hit OK 4. Click Next on wizard 5. Move the Installed Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC SDK (it should be pre installed) to the right side of the window and click Next. 6. Select Console Application and hit Finish. Change Properties on Project 1. Select <Project Name> in Solution Explorer and then select the Project > Properties menu. 2. Click the Configuration Manager button in the top right and switch to Windows Mobile 5.0 SDK 3. Ensure the platform is also WM2005 and hit Close. 4. Under Configuration Properties/Deployment change Deployment Device to Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC Device. 5. Hit Apply and OK. Build Empty Project and ensure Debugger works. 1. Ensure the Pocket PC is synced to computer 2. Hit F11 after a short time you should have a prompt on the PDA to allow the program to execute (allow it). 3. You will then be dropped into a debugging mode in Visual Studio 2005.4. Hit F5 to complete the execution. Adjust Project Properties for target application deployment. Page 21. Select <Project Name> in Solution Explorer and then select the Project > Properties menu. 2. Under Configuration Properties/Deployment change Remote Directory to location of target executable on PDA (for root directory on PDA) 3.
