HUNTER MAY 1 Page 1### Hunter Mountain now an OrvisEndorsed Outfitter for Fly Fishing!HUNTER MAY 1 Hunter Mountains Sports & Expeditions Center will be offering OrvisEndorsed Fly Fishing School and Guide Services for summer 2007. The area spanning the Northern Catskills with its abundant lakes and rivers is the perfect place to learn how to fly fish or to tailor your skill through the spring summer and fall. The Sports & Expeditions Center has recently been named an Endorsed Outfitter by Orvis the worlds leader in fly fishing equipment. Orvis holds 150 years experience in fly fishing and the fullservice Sports & Expeditions Center is pleased to be able to provide topoftheline fly fishing gear apparel and supplies in addition to a Fly Fishing School and guide services. Fly fishing has a longstanding history in the Catskills says Irwin Mallory manager of Hunter Mountains Sports & Expeditions Center. Were glad to be able to provide a learning experience for beginners and provide experienced fly fishers with everything they need. The Center offers a fullseason Fly Fishing School which includes guidance by a knowledgeable trained instructor and equipment. Lessons are held on our own private tenacre lake with access to the Schoharie River during and after class. An OrvisEndorsed Guide Service will also be available with half and full day excursions available with a trained fly fishing guide. A majority of the trips featured utilize the nearby Schoharie and Esopus Rivers but also include smaller lakes and rivers in the area. Fly Fishing season spans from April 1 to October 15. Reservations are required for the Fly Fishing School and Guide Service. A New York State fishing license is required.
