In new Brunswick the Minister of Education is responsible for the administration of the Education ActPage 1Many home schooled children enter or reenter the public school system at some time. When doing so it is important to communicate with and work through the school district. There may be a need for a parent conference and/or informal/formal assessment by the school to determine placement. Parents are urged to contact the school district office prior to the beginning of the school year. *Please note that students who are home schooled are not eligible for a New Brunswick High School Diploma. Therefore it is important to note the entrance requirements for a home schooled child at the postsecondary institutions that your child might wish to attend in the future.
