JCA Plus AdAPters enabling the integrated realtime enterprisePage 1Metadata access eases and supports realtime deploymentSAPs metadata (data about the SAP applications business processes and how they are executed) is exposed through the adapters designtime user interface. The user selects the SAP R/3 Enterprise business functions the user wants to expose into the servers environment. These SAP R/3 Enterprise business processes and data structures are then dynamically exposed as methods on Librados Integration Component (IC) EJBs in a J2EE application server environment or IC Java objects in a Web server or standalone JVM environment.At the same time the input and output required by the business function is automatically generated as XML schemas. This eliminates the manualmapping of request and response formats. SAP R/3 Enterprise business processes and data are then immediately accessible to client applications running on the server.This functionality which serves as a unique differentiator gives users the ability to connect and expose functionality on SAP without having to understand the complexities of the system. Using custom APIs or competing adapters users would have to first understand all the inner workings of SAP as well as the requirements of a specific business process. Librados reduces all the complexities of SAP down to the universally understood language of XML.For the first time business units have a tool to create and deploy solutions without having to rely on IT or SAP experts.Multiple options for exposing SAP R/3 enterprise functionalityIn addition to exposing SAP R/3 Enterprise business processes as XML the user can choose to expose these processes as Web services or Java objects that can work in conjunction with client applications.
