Content Inside:Rev. 6/21/05 General Fire & Casualty Company of 3 ORACLE DEVELOPER Job Description Required Qualifications (Technical & Life Skills) : • Minimum 3 years relevant database programming experience. • Minimum 2 years of solid Oracle (v. 8+) PL/SQL development experience (stored procedures, triggers, functions, etc. ) . • Demonstrated understanding of fundamental design patterns. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Strong analytical abilities. • Ability to learn and support new technology quickly. • Ability to thrive in a changing work environment, produce innovative solutions, and respond quickly to external and natural events. Preferred Qualifications (Technical & Life Skills) : • Bachelors degree in Computer Science related field. • Understanding of basic Oracle database administration (backup & restore, security, etc. ) . • Experience with Oracle Forms and SQL Loader. • Experience with Microsoft operating systems, particularly Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP. • Experience with Microsoft enterprise technologies including Active Directory, Clustering Service, and Network Load Balancing. • Experience with web technologies based on the IIS 6 platform. • Possess a friendly, cooperative attitude and positive interaction style in dealing with people. • Be interested in IT and solving problems. • Be able to collate complex data and use this to solve problems. • Be able to work in a team. • Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment. Reports To : The Technology Manager. Supervises: None.
