Understand and use PL/SQL to create stored procedures and functions that can be reused. Demonstrate a good understanding of using PL/SQL to write queries in order to design applications using packagesand other techniques.Course BenefitsPL/SQL is the procedural extension to SQL. Its use increases performance productivity portability and security.This course teaches how to utilise advanced techniques to design PL/SQL applications.Indicative SyllabusThe module will normally cover techniques for: Introduction to PL/SQL. Declaring PL/SQL Variables. Writing Executable Statements. Interacting with the Oracle server. Writing Control Structures. Working with Composite Data Types. Using Explicit Cursors. Handling Exceptions.
