(March 15 2002) Is it really possible to change the eating habits and health ofour nations children through gardening? Absolutely says The Rodale Institute initiator of thepremier national organic garden contest for schools. The contest which has run successfully for threeyears for schools in Pa. now encourages children nationwide to show how their organic schoolgarden has impacted their nutrition and health. Schools K12 will compete for the prestigious awardsand cash prizes of $1000 (first place) $500 (second place) and $250 (third place) sponsored in partby the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture.
