There are advantages to polyester or rayon thread when doing machine embroidery. Polyester thread can be bleached and washed in higher temperature water and is stronger than rayon thread. It is great in childrenâ s clothes. Many of the new polyester threads have a wonderful sheen.Rayon thread has a beautiful sheen and comes in a wider choice of colors. Itâ s good for use in designs on items that arenâ t washed frequently or if you simply prefer using a natural fiber rather than a man made fiber. Both will add a lot to your embellished projects When working with faux fur, keep a dust buster or vacuum cleaner with a small brush attachment close by. Fur has a tendency to go everywhere! To keep small bits of fur from covering your sewing area and flying up your nose, vacuum as you go: as you're cutting, vacuum not only your cutting surface frequently but also around the perimeter of each fur pattern piece. -Home Sewing Association
