The New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission (TLC) offers the Page 1Safety & Emissions Division 2455 Brooklyn Queens Expressway West Woodside NY 11377 Tel: 718.267.4599 Fax: 718.956.1400 For Immediate Release July 20 2006 TLCAPPROVED METER INSTALLATION PLAN for 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid The New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission (TLC) offers the following technical document outlining the only TLCapproved installation for a taximeter in the 2007 Toyota Camry hybridelectric vehicle. A wiring diagram will be made available upon request. 1 Disable vehicle using Toyota Technical Service Bulletins as guidance to reduce risk of high voltage electrical shock. 2 Remove lower dashboard cover. 3 Locate SKID CONTROL ECU behind Glove Box on right side of dashboard.4 Identify Bluecolored wire coming out of 3rdplug from the right (SP1) of SKID CONTROL ECU. 5 Splice Meter Pulse Wire to this blue wire using a tamperproof wire connector and shrink wrap to further protect the connection. The connection should be made under the dashboard for easy inspection. 6 All meter connections must be made using a tamperproof wire connector and shrink wrap to further protect the connection. No wire nuts/caps and electrical tape connections are permitted.For further information or to request a wiring diagram of this installation please call 7182674599.
